The son of legendary saxophonist John Coltrane and pianist Alice Coltrane, Ravi Coltrane is an acclaimed saxophonist, composer, bandleader and producer. His CD In Flux was nominated for a Grammy Award.

Since his first appearance on the Da Camera series in 2008, Ravi Coltrane has released the acclaimed Blending Times and signed with Blue Note Records. His first Blue Note recording is scheduled for release in the spring of 2011.
