Houston-based soprano Camille Jasensky is a second-year Young Artist with DACAMERA. An active performer of chamber music, Lieder, opera, and musical theater, Camille’s career has been multifaceted and diverse. She has portrayed the roles of Beth in Little Women, Mrs. Hayes in Susannah, Johanna in Sweeney Todd, Rapunzel in Into the Woods, and Zerlina in Don Giovanni, among others. She has also performed as a soloist with the Houston Masterworks Chorus, The Rice Chorale, Lamont Symphony Orchestra, and Yakima Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Jasensky received a master’s degree in vocal performance from Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music, and her bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music. She has further trained at Leipzig University, the CoOPERAtive training program, and the International Vocal Arts Institute in New York City.
