DACAMERA announces Beethoven for All: The complete piano sonatas

DACAMERA proudly announces Beethoven for All, the complete Beethoven piano sonatas in free concerts presented throughout 2020. DACAMERA celebrates the 250th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven’s birth with this new series. In honor of the towering  composer and his momentous contributions, DACAMERA presents all 32 piano sonatas in free concerts throughout Greater Houston. “When you’re immersed in Beethoven, you feel that he’s right in the center, and everything else is radiating out from him,” says pianist Richard Goode. This program is supported by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.

The series kicks off February 5 at A Little Day Music and continues with concerts in Spring Branch, the Woodlands, Clear Lake, the Medical Center and downtown Houston. Pianists include DACAMERA Artistic Director Sarah Rothenberg, DACAMERA Young Artists and special guests including Shepherd School doctoral candidate Frances Lee, University of Houston faculty member Tali Morgulis, HSPVA piano instructor and performer Rodolfo Morales and Aperio’s Michael Zuraw.
