Molly Wise, viola

Molly Wise made her solo debut in Penderecki’s Viola Concerto with the Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM) Orchestra in October 2018 and will compete as a finalist in the 2021 American Viola Society Competition. She is currently James Dunham’s graduate assistant at Rice University and received her Bachelor of Music in Viola Performance and Music Theory from CIM in May 2019, studying with Jeffrey Irvine and Lynne Ramsey. Molly was a touring alumni artist with the Heifetz International Music Institute from 2017 to 2019. She has been featured in master classes with Cynthia Phelps and Victoria Chiang, and has performed under the batons of Marin Alsop, Thomas Adés, and Daniel Harding, among others, in venues such as Severance Hall, the Santa Barbara Bowl, and the Granada Theater.
