Born in Melilla, Spain, Pablo Muñoz Salido is a versatile violist currently pursuing a master’s degree at Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music. Mr. Muñoz was a founding member of the Zorá String Quartet, 1st Prize winner of the 2015 Young Concert Artists International Auditions and Grand Prize and Gold Medal winner of the 42nd Fischoﬀ National Chamber Music Competition. The Quartet also held residencies at Indiana University and the Curtis Institute of Music. He has participated in festivals including Aspen, Banﬀ, Norfolk, Bravo! Vail, and Chamber Music Northwest, and has performed in venues across the world including Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, Beethoven-Haus Kammermusiksaal, and Konzerthaus Berlin, among others. As an educator, Mr. Muñoz has taught masterclasses at institutions including Stanford University and Universität Mozarteum Salzburg.
