Soprano Shannon Murray is a fearless performer and emerging artist specializing in contemporary music. She was most recently featured along with the Apollo Chamber Players as part of the Kennedy Center’s Arts Across America initiative in the production Voces Fanstasmas, a multi-disciplinary work of music, dance, and film. She has also appeared in the Cincy Fringe Festival in Colony, a production by the AURA Contemporary Ensemble and Psophonia Dance Company about the endangerment of bees. She has sung in festivals around the world, including the soundSCAPE Contemporary Festival in Cesena, Italy, and the Texas Music Festival in Houston. Shannon maintains an active piano and voice studio and loves seeing her students succeed. She obtained a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Houston under the direction of soprano Cynthia Clayton.
