“dazzling… a pianist on the rise”
— Jazz Times
Jazz pianist Sullivan Fortner just made his live DACAMERA debut and we’re bringing it to you as a free stream available for the next two weeks. Sullivan dazzles the audience with his spontaneity in this sold-out show at The Menil Collection, with his unique takes on standards including Cole Porter’s Love for Sale and Duke Ellington’s Sophisticated Lady. He moves us with his original Snakes and Ladders and delights with his high-wire mashup of My Favorite Things and a John Williams holiday chestnut from Home Alone. Experience it for yourself – and learn more about Sullivan’s approach in a post-concert conversation with DACAMERA Artistic Director Sarah Rothenberg.
Sullivan Fortner returns on February 10th with vocalist Cecile McLorin Salvant. See below for details.
