In celebration of Da Camera’s 30-year relationship with the Menil Collection, in many ways the organization’s artistic home, Da Camera presents a special art and music program in the Cy Twombly Gallery. Virtuoso flutist and MacArthur fellow Claire Chase features works inspired by the paintings of Cy Twombly, in the Menil’s gallery dedicated to his work. Chicago-based, Brazilian composer Marcos Balter’s Descent from Parnassus was composed for Claire Chase. Guest composer Erik Ulman shares his personal reminiscences of his friendship and correspondence with the artist.
