“A startlingly gifted pianist with a relentless thirst for experimentation.” — The Los Angeles Times on Jason Moran
Bass player and vocalist Chris Walker is a graduate of HSPVA. He began his career with the family gospel group The Walker Brothers, and went on to tour with Ornette Coleman and Regina Belle, to be Al Jarreau’s music director, and to make his own acclaimed recordings.
Denardo Coleman is an outstanding drummer who debuted on record with his father at the age of 10. He appears on the recordings The Empty Foxhole, Ornette at 12 and Crisis. He went on to perform as a member of Ornette Coleman’s Prime Time, and to play with Geri Allen, Pat Metheny and James Blood Ulmer.
