4:00 PM: Venezuelan drummer Marlon Simon — Venezuelan drummer/percussionist Marlon Simon is well known as a sideman, recording artist, and educator. “Considered a top scholar and musician in the field of Latin jazz, drummer and percussionist Marlon Simon releases another electrifying album with his band The Nagual Spirits. ‘In Case You Missed It’ showcases Simon’s rhythmically rich arrangements of four new originals and several standards,” says Jazzreview.com.

5:00 PM: Vocalist Raquel Cepeda — Singer/songwriter Raquel Cepeda is a highly regarded singer who has shared the stage with jazz legends such as Ellis and Delfeayo Marsalis. Her latest album “Passion” was nominated for best jazz album at the 2020 Pepsi Music Awards and remained in the #1 position of the Roots Music Report jazz chart for eight consecutive weeks. Her septet includes Barry Sames on piano, Thomas Helton on double bass, Adriano Santos on drums, Cassio Duarte on percussion, Ernesto Vega on sax, flute and clarinet, and Felix de Leon on trumpet, with Cepeda on vocals.
