Legendary guitarist Pat Metheny has a catalogue of 50-plus recordings that have scored 39 Grammy nominations and 20 wins in 12 different categories. Over the years, Metheny has won countless polls as “Best Jazz Guitarist” and awards, including three gold records.
As a teenager, Pat Metheny regularly jammed with Kansas City’s best jazz musicians, an inspiring experience of sitting in with more mature players. Metheny’s return to DACAMERA features the newest version of his Side-Eye project, contining that tradition and giving a platform to “new and upcoming musicians who have particularly caught my interest.”
“Metheny’s playing throughout the evening was crisply state-of-the-art, as usual. He continues to search for new sounds and concepts while keeping his eye on his expansive and flavorful past”
