Enjoy an afternoon of free art, poetry, music, and family activities at the Menil Collection’s Neighborhood Community Day.

Drum Circle
2:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Sam Dinkins III Drum Circle (Deck across from the Menil Drawing Institute)

Learn the basics of African drumming with Sam Dinkins III. No experience or registration required.

3:00 PM – 4:00 PM: DACAMERA performance on Menil Lawn to be announced.

Stop, Look and Listen! is a series of free chamber music and jazz concerts presented in one of Houston’s most inspiring and stimulating environments, the world-renowned Menil Collection. Admission to the Menil is always free.

Schubert Perspectives #3: The Isidore Quartet – skyrocketing to the heights of the music world since their debut at DACAMERA in 2023 – return with a strikingly diverse program, juxtaposing Schubert with choral music arranged for string quartet and a twenty-first century work by Hungarian composer Gyorgy Ligeti.
