DACAMERA presents a free summer series at Houston Area Public Libraries!
Recommended for young learners in 3rd to 5th grade.
Directed by DACAMERA Young Artists, students dive into sound energy and how it works with musical instruments. This lesson concludes with a series of lab stations dealing with vibrations.
DACAMERA Music Encounters have been developed as part of an initiative that brings classical music and jazz into communities throughout Houston, connecting music with the core curriculum. The mission of the program is to establish creative learning environments that support the Texas Essential Knowledge Skills (TEKS) by promoting collaboration between artists, students, and teachers.

LUCÍA is a 24-year-old vocalist from Veracruz, Mexico whose singular artistic vision bridges the gaps between jazz, Latin and pop music. She is the first artist from Mexico to enter and win the prestigious Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition.
