Legendary guitarist Pat Metheny returns to DACAMERA with a new version of his Side-Eye project, giving a platform to new and upcoming musicians who have particularly caught his interest. As a teenager, Metheny regularly jammed with Kansas City’s best jazz musicians, an inspiring experience of sitting in with more mature players. Side-Eye III+ honors that tradition, with Chris Fishman on piano and keyboards, Jermaine Paul on bass and Joe Dyson on drums.
Metheny has a catalogue of 50-plus recordings that have scored 39 Grammy nominations and 20 wins in 12 different categories. Over the years, he has won countless polls as “Best Jazz Guitarist” and numerous awards, including three gold records.
