4:00 PM: Sea Breeze — Sea Breeze emerged on the Houston jazz scene in 1985 at the Houston International Festival. The group is the brainchild of saxophonist Carl Progue, bassist Al Campbell, and keyboardist Andrew Lienhard. These talented musicians created a jazz-based band that critics describe as “brisk, sharp, and decidedly tantalizing.” With a mix of material including cover selections and original music, Sea Breeze has captivated audiences of all ages.

5:00 PM: Corey Henry and the Treme Funktet –Trombonist Corey Henry, from the historic, musically rich Treme neighborhood of New Orleans, is the leader of the Treme Funktet. Inspired by the great musicians from his neighborhood, he has been developing his own style since age 10 and began playing professionally with Treme Brass Band at age 16. Henry has played in New Orleans’ best bands, including Rebirth, Kermit Ruffins, Cyril Neville, the Lil’ Rascals and Galactic. His ability to lead the Treme Funktet with his muscular voice and trombone blasting through the crowd like a fast-coming train charges packed venues with fire and excitement wherever he plays.
